I've been in Hong Kong for two weeks now. The first week was confusing and hectic. I had trouble figuring out where everything was, and I eventually ended up in bed feeling ill. However, things have turned around this week.
One of my goals here was to get back into tennis-playing shape (yes, the cliche New Year's Resolution...) In fact, I'm currently trying out for my dorm's basketball team - there are 2 more practices before the cuts. City University has an "Olympics" of sorts between the residence halls. Last semester featured track, table tennis, swimming, and soccer. Basketball, badminton, photography, cooking, and karaoke are all competitive events this semester (the last 3 aren't sports, but it's all in good fun) My hall is dead-last in points after the fall semester, hopefully I'll be able to contribute, starting with basketball!
